lost in time
daily
Day 198
abandoned hotel
Day 197
tea ceremony
Day 196
quidditch, anyone?
Day 195
The chance of these ever making it out of Japan as souvenirs to anyone else is about 0.
Day 194
spring
Day 193
rhino
This sculpture is standing in a car park at over 2 metres tall and amazingly made from wood, bamboo, pine cones and mussel shells! (I think the eyes are made from saucepans)
Day 192
hanami is coming...
Day 190
Canal City Fukuoka long exposure
Day 188
Japan is the only country in the world where you can drive a Bentley, park it on the street with your Louis Vuitton handbag on the front seat, with the doors unlocked, the keys in the ignition AND the engine running while you go into a shop for a while and expect it to be there when you come out.
Day 185
Shooting in stairwells
Day 181
Cats eyes
I was asked to take photos of Shizuka's ceramic art works yesterday and was fortunate to get her to pose with one. Shizuka is an artist from Japan working in Frankfurt with an amazing imagination and vision for creating art that you wouldn't particularly expect from such a quiet modest person.
Day 180
Cassava
Day 179
hot tar.
You wouldn't believe it were possible to miss the sight, sound and smell of workmen retaring the road but an unfortunate woman put a high heel right in it and then went off stickily down the road...
Day 178
There wasn't a single camera setting that could do tonight's sunset justice
Day 177
And now I lay me down to sleep
Day 176
Looking forward to a new start!
Still off work but hoping for the best next week. And hoping for the best for my Mamiya 645 gear, which after much deliberation, I have decided to sell on eBay. I'm still keeping my lenses for now and my RZ67 for special occasions.
Day 175
Ume
I twisted my back the other day and have been completely out of action for almost a week now. The first few days I could barely crawl around to get to the bathroom but I'm slowly getting back on my feet and getting tired of starting at the ceiling.
I had been waiting for these flowers to blossom in a vase at home for ages and almost forgot to get a photo of them before they had withered. Luckily having a tripod meant I didn't have to hold the camera for long to get a nice photo.
Day 173
fly me to the moon
by chance, happened to glance out of the window, see the plane flight path, see the moon between the clouds, get my camera and lens out to take this slightly blurry picture all while holding a baby. Hope to be able to plan it next time!
Day 172
